Unlike most encounter books that require studying in advance, Encounters at a Glance works differently. Each encounter is designed to be run with zero preparation. Just open and start narrating using clearly marked headlines and progress sections. Everything you need is referenced directly in the 3-page encounter spread. No flipping back and forth between pages.
Discovery zones
Use discovery zones to choose a random encounter: roll to determine which encounter your party stumbles upon and scratch to reveal it, keeping even you, the GM, surprised by what happens next.
Journey events
